It finally happened and all it took was an extra $200 from the skipper.
Jason Kendall, making a little over $11,000,000.00 a season, needed a $200.00 bet from skipper, Ken Macha to bring his sorry homerless streak to an end at 900+ AB’s as an Oakland A. I wonder what GM Billy Beane thinks of this?
Ironically enough, Ken Macha lost $200.00 to Nick Swisher the day before, by enticing Swish to knock one out to the opposite field. Hey Ken, how about throwing $200 at Esteban Loaiza for a perfect game? Just a thought.
