Leave it to Weaver

An impressive debut week for Angel’s hurler Jered Weaver, younger brother of Jeff Weaver.

In his first 2 major league starts, the kid has been dealing, recording consecutive victories over Baltimore & Cleveland in convincing fashion. An ERA of 1.35 as well as 13 K’s in 13 innings, he has definately been a nice surprise to the Angels rotation thus far.

With Bartolo Colon expected back soon from injury, the Angels are looking good with a starting five of Colon, John Lackey, Kelvim Escobar, Ervin Santana & Jered. Only problem is that Jeff Weaver, yes the older brother, might just be pitching his way out of the rotation. Bart’s injury is the only reason Jeff still has a spot. Imagine losing your job to your little brother, sucks to be you Jeff Weaver.
