Pujols Injured, may miss up to a Month

Albert Pujols suffered a strain oblique in yesterday’s game against Chicago and is expected to miss up to a month of action.  Pujols had been on a pace to hit 75 home runs this season should be placed on the disabled list on Monday.  He was leading the Majors with 25 home runs and 65 RBIs.

Now how long until the media starts up their usual steriod witch hunt with Pujols.  Don’t you know that juicers are more likely to suffer muscle strains and tears?  Trust me, you’ll be reading or hearing all about it come Monday.

As for the Cardinals, if Pujols misses anytime they will fade back to the pack in the NL Central.  Cincinnati is lurking 3 games back and with Clemens returning to the Astros, they are still alive.  That division just got a heck of a lot more interesting.
