  • Roger Clemens returned to the Houston Astros only to be outshined by Twins Phenom Francisco Liriano. 
  • A.J. Burnett impresses in his first start in 2 months for Toronto helping the Jays sweep the Braves in Atlanta.
  • Ozzie Guillen was suspended for 1 game by MLB for the throwing incident involving his pitcher David Riske and Cardinals Chris Duncan.  Guillen was also ordered to attend sensitivity training for comments made towards Chicago reporter Jay Mariotti this week.  Ozzie is going nuts.
  • Joe Thornton was named the NHL’s Season MVP, other notable winners included, Alexander Ovechkin for Rookie of the year, Niklas Lidstrom for Top Defenseman, Miikka Kiprusoff as Top Goaltender, Pavel Datysuk won Best Sportmanship & Lindy Ruff was Coach of the year.
  • Larry Brown was finally canned after leading the New York Knicks to their 2nd worst season ever! Isiah Thomas takes over as coach.
  • Ronaldo ties World Cup record scoring 2 goals in Brazil’s 4-1 win over Japan.
  • Michael Jordan returns to NBA, this time with the Charlotte Bobcats with new role in front office.
  • Jose Theodore hooks up with Paris Hilton at Canadian Music Awards.  It’s all about the propecia baby!
